PreBLD is in the final stages of pre-launch and the formal Privacy Policy is being drafted with counsel. This notice describes how PreBLD handles your data in practice today, and will be replaced with the formal policy when it's finalized.
Account data: name, work email, password hash (scrypt). For Google sign-ins we receive the email and display name returned by Google's OAuth.
Project data: drawings you upload, the inputs you provide to the wizard, and the estimates PreBLD produces. All stored in your workspace and isolated to your firm by row-level security in Postgres.
Telemetry: we log sign-in events (timestamp, method, user-agent, best-effort IP) for forensics. Standard server logs for errors and request failures. Sentry receives error breadcrumbs.
We don't sell your data. We don't use your project data for advertising. We don't share identifiable data with any other firm using PreBLD. Your unit rates, vendor markups, project history, and client information stay inside your workspace.
When you finalize an estimate, anonymized scope shape and pricing per CSI division joins a cross-firm calibration pool that makes PreBLD sharper for every workspace over time. The pool stores no firm identity, no client name, no project address, no contact data — just the structural fingerprint of the project and what the per-division costs landed at.

Postgres on Neon (US/Canada region). NextAuth.js for session management. Anthropic Claude for AI estimate generation (drawings are sent to Anthropic for vision parsing; Anthropic's terms govern how they handle that data — see anthropic.com/legal). Resend for transactional email.
You can update your profile, change your password, and delete your workspace at any time. Delete requests propagate via foreign-key cascades through your projects, settings, team invitations, and sign-in history. The anonymized rows in the cross-firm learning pool that were contributed during your subscription are not personally identifiable and are not deleted with the workspace.
